RESIDENTIAL AND ESTATE LOTS NOW AVAILABLE AT THE FARM

Smith Mountain Lake, VA (August 18, 2008) – After a ground breaking ceremony last spring, The Willard Companies has moved full speed ahead with its newest development, The Farm.

The Farm community features a total of 63 properties including 33 lots, and 13 estate lots ranging from1.7 to 5.4 acres in size. The lots and estate lots are water access via a community boat ramp and are now available for purchase and being represented by Prudential Waterfront Properties.

The Willard Companies is proud to do their part in preserving the quality of Smith Mountain Lake and the environment for future generations. The Farm has been designed as a low impact development, which helps reduce the impacts of storm water runoff into Smith Mountain Lake. With the use of open space throughout the community, The Farm has preserved the rural look and feel of Franklin County. The rich heritage of the county will be honored by the use of street names reflecting the times of the past.

In addition, there are 17 planned waterfront cottages, named Hammock Pointe at The Farm. Hammock Pointe will offer four different models of homes to choose from. Hammock Pointe, is designed in accordance with the Earth Craft House program. These homes are designed to create a healthy indoor environment and also help reduce utility bills as well as protect the environment.

Amenities within the community will include a picnic pavilion, pool, community dock, and community boat storage area. Homeowners at Hammock Pointe will have a covered boat slip. Ownership at The Farm offers the opportunity to join The Waterfront Country Club where championship golf, tennis, swimming, fitness facility, fine dining and social activities are only a short drive away.
