Smith Mountain Lake, VA (June 9, 2008) – Prudential Waterfront Properties announced Dana Montgomery has met the educational and experience requirements as well as passed the state brokers exam to become a licensed real estate broker in the state of Virginia. A total of 180 classroom hours of Board approved courses are required to receive the brokers’ license. The Virginia Real Estate Board requires completion of a 45-hour classroom course along with other broker-specific courses such as real estate law, appraisal, and investment property management.

Montgomery became a licensed REALTOR® in 2003 and has become an award winning agent and consistent leader in sales. During her career with Prudential Waterfront Properties, Montgomery has become e-Certified and earned multiple real estate certifications including the Accredited Buyers Representative® (ABR), Graduate of Real Estate Institute (GRI) and the Resort and Recreation Specialist. In addition, Dana earned the professional designation, “Fine Homes Specialist,” conferred by Prudential Real Estate for successfully listing, marketing and transacting property valued within the top 10 percent of its respective marketplace. This exclusive designation was established in 1997 to define professional quality standards within the Prudential Real Estate Network and to recognize the level of specialized knowledge, experience and skills required by affluent clientele. Montgomery also achieved the Diamond, Platinum and “Rookie of the Year” awards from the RVAR and landed in Prudential’s prestigious President’s Circle.
