Barbara Brooks Receives Associate Broker Liscense

Smith Mountain Lake, VA (April 1, 2005) – Waterfront Properties, Smith Mountain Lake’s premier real estate company, announced Barbara Brooks has met the educational requirements and passed the real estate brokers exam.

Brooks, who joined Waterfront Properties in 2001, has over thirty years of professional work experience. Prior to joining Waterfront Properties, she worked over twenty three years in the medical industry. Brooks holds the Graduate of Real Estate Institute (GRI) and Accredited Buyers Representative (ABR) designations and is currently pursuing the Council of Residential Specialists (CRS) designation. She has been a consistent award winning agent with Waterfront Properties and The Roanoke Valley Association of Realtors (RVAR) during her five years in the Real Estate industry.

In addition to the RVAR, where Brooks has served on both the advertising and education committees, she is a member of the Roanoke Valley Chamber of Commerce, Smith Mountain Lake Chamber of Commerce/Partnership, Real Estate Buyer’s Agent Council and National Association of REALTORS®.

Brooks graduated from Virginia Western Community College in Roanoke, Virginia with a B.S. in Business Management. She also holds a B.A. in Health Care Administration with double minors in Psychology and Business Administration from Mary Baldwin College in Staunton, Virginia. Barbara and her husband, Lyn, live in The Water’s Edge Country Club community in Penhook, Virginia and have two children, Natalie and Jeff.
